Chair Yoga
For those wishing to experience yoga with the support of a chair, this class offers classical yoga postures and breathing to awaken the senses, infuse energy, and expand a feeling of well-being, building strength, core strength, flexibility, and balance. Each class ends with guided relaxation and a short meditation. Come ready to feel great? No prior yoga experience is necessary, simply a curiosity about the benefits of this ancient practice and the willingness to give it a try. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy breathing and freedom of movement. Free to fitness Center members. Non-Members $75 payable to NCRD.

Classical Yoga
Start your weekend off right with a yoga practice emphasizing the spirit of yoga, classical postures, pranayama, and guided relaxation. Using classical yoga as the context you will build a core of strength throughout the body and improve flexibility and balance. Appropriate for all levels. Free to Fitness Center members. Meditation
Meditation for Non-Meditators:
Expect to do breath work, a light stretch, and sit in a chair. You’ll be introduced to different guided meditation styles. Make each week better by starting it with a meditation led by Life Coach and Yoga/Meditation Teacher, Liz Carroll.

Radiant Yoga
Shine brighter! This class is for any level student ready for more radiant energy and increased vibrancy and flexibility. Using mindfulness and traditional Hatha yoga, we lengthen the spine, strengthen the shoulders, open the hips, and connect to our breath and heart centers. We flow from one posture to the next at a slow pace building strength and endurance on the mat. It’s mindful, not challenging yoga. We end with the ultimate energy-renewing pose, savasana. You’ll walk out of the class feeling open, glowing from within, and ready for the day. Free to fitness Center members. Non-members $75 payable to NCRD.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is an accessible practice that anyone can do to combat stress, promote healing, and an overall sense of well-being, and can even lead to better sleep. Calming guidance and props are used in the postures to support the body in gentle, comfortable positions which are held for extended periods. The 90-minutes practice calms the nervous system and facilitates relaxation states that can otherwise be elusive. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and eye covering – the rest of the props will be provided. Free to Fitness Center members. Non-members $75 payable to NCRD.

Very Gentle

YIN Yoga For All
Learn the physiology and fundamentals of YIN Yoga and safely practice traditional asanas in new ways to achieve beneficial results. Holding poses longer than in a typical yoga class, with muscles relaxed, coaxes the connective tissue and fascia throughout the body to return to a supple condition and the joints to gain flexibility and strength. Moreover, this practice will provide the opportunity to cultivate introspection and a sense of calm. Free to Fitness Center members. Non-members $75 payable to NCRD.
