Dayan Qigong nurtures one’s inner energy, or Qi, and restores a healthy mind and body.  With regular practice we can learn to access Qi for self-healing, restoring vital energy, and strengthening one’s immune system to promote a healthy, balanced and long, joyful life.  Dayan Qigong is a safe and effective form of exercise for active people, the elderly, and even the chronically ill.  It combines spiral and circular movements in gentle and precise forms and includes bending, stretching, fluttering, and relaxation.  Designed for all fitness levels.  Free to Fitness Center members.  Non-members:  $45 payable to NCRD.

Tae Kwondo

Tae Kwondo is open to ages 6 – 102.  The advantages of Tae Kwondo include increased strength, better fitness, increased flexibility, sharper focus, improvement of self-confidence, and the ability to reduce stress and tension.  The classes run from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm every Tuesday and Thursday evening and are held in the Gym at NCRD.  The instructor is Ryan Holloway.  The cost of the class is $40 per month.  This class is not in partnership with TBCC as many of our other classes are.  Please register at the Welcome Center or online.

Tai Chi

Tai Chi flow involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by conscious breathing.  Each movement flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion.  Tai Chi strengthens the body, relaxes the mind and lifts the spirit, generally enhancing the wellbeing of the whole body.  Doing Tai Chi can help you improve mobility, stability breathing, concentration and support any rehabilitation/recovery.  This is a class appropriate for any age or fitness level and can be done standing or seated.  Participants don’t need to memorize or learn forms, but rather they follow along with the instructor and do what they see.  For all levels.  Free to Fitness Center members.  Non-members:  $80 payable to NCRD.
